about

about me

Hi there! I am Nancy, a trauma informed therapist in the state of California. Being a trauma informed clinician means that I look beyond symptoms and carefully take note of the obstacles you’ve faced, big or small. I love my job and appreciate everything about the human mind, from the energy that guides our moral compass, to the negativity that can debilitate us. I believe everything has its place and if we take pause and look at ourselves compassionately, we will find meaning and conviction.

My clinical journey began 11 years ago in San Francisco, where I served children, young adults, and families from culturally diverse backgrounds. Trained in both community mental health and academic settings, I learned not only the internal struggles my clients faced, but also the external environments that contributed to their anguish, helping clients navigate these complex systems.

Three years ago my work shifted to serving adults in a primary care setting, culminating a broader understanding of the various challenges we face within the human lifespan. Since then I have been blessed to work with people of varying age groups, appreciating and taking nothing for granted.

When I am not busy therapeutizing, I am engulfed in my role as a mom, a conscious life partner, and best friend to my loved ones. These days I am busy family blending, surviving distance learning and pandemic woes, and adapting to a vastly changing environment.

I serve in Santa Clara and Santa Cruz County. However, since the pandemic twisted my arm into going virtual, I am able to see clients from other parts of the world.
